Description: Sterling silver slide features a Knifewing design in multi-stone turquoise, onyx, spiny oyster and MOP inlay. Cord is braided black leather with sterling silver tips. Tested as sterling silver.
Maker: Appears to be vintage Zuni made, however, there are no hallmarks as was common of Native Jewelry made in this era.
Approx Age: Vintage, circa 1950s - 60s. Has old-school loops on the back for the cord to run through like was common before pre-clasp use. Some artists continued to use this old-school style of securing the bolo cord even after the commercial clasps became available in the mid-1950s and this is likely one of those pieces.
Size: Overall width of the slide is about 2 inches x 2 inches at longest points. It's on a 39 inch braided leather cord with sterling tips. Weighs 28.1 g.
Condition: Vintage. Normal wear expected.
